What Dreams Become
Those who control humanity’s dreams control humanity itself.
Being a roleplayer, I’ve always wanted to try a miniature game. But taking up Dungeons & Dragons was so daunting, with all the rules and cards and dice and rules. Picking up Hero Clix was too… super heroic. I wanted something fantastical but easy to understand and can switch between Pick-up-and-Play to Critical-Strategic-Play.
And lo and behold, The Beloved pointed me to Dreamblade. Reading up on it and trying out the online flash demo, I wanted it. It seems so easy but it has it’s own depth. Reading the basic rules, the basic premise is easy to understand. It’s a game of strategy and luck
, more of strategy of course. It’s a bit like chess, only with figs that are pretty and fantastic.
Okay, when I say pretty, I mean in a nightmarish/ dreamlike sort of way. And when I say fantastic, as in fantasy– That characteristic can range from horrifying to noble to whimsical.
I bought my starter set 2 weeks ago, and playing it made me fall in love. Now I can’t wait to buy more booster packs. Now, if only money would allow it. Har~ No over the top rules to memorize! Yey!
They are helping me cope with stress, along with the little ones.

2 of my Passion pieces, violent and destructive, and 3 of the 8 special dice.

5 of my Valor pieces, tough and hard to budge.

6 of the Fear pieces, and they have come from your worst nightmares~
I wanted to take pictures of my Madness pieces but well… they came out too blurry.
Currently my warband has no theme, and am still trying to understand how they should be put into play to minimize casualties.
*sigh*
For more info, go to their official website. And if you wanna see how it all works, try the online demo.
And if you like it and want to start playing, gimme me a holler so we can play
