This is what dreams are made of~
Disturbing Imagery, read at your own risk~
I had a dream last nigh. A dream that after waking up, I realized I dreamt it before, countless of times. (Long sentence, sorry)
I was a rebel. And me and my crew along with my grandparents, were trying to escape enemy territory by going undercover and sell houseplants (with a cart and all).
We were doing so well. We even met up with a funeral procession of a politician. (An actual politician. Omen? I dunno. I won’t mention who it is, because that person isn’t actually dead yet)
But we were found out eventually while we were resting. My grandfather gets shot, my crew gets killed and my grandmother was raped.
Then I wake up.
What great imagery to start my day 8O
EDIT: Interpretation by a friend. (thanks again, girl!)
the violence in your dreams means that you have unexpressed anger. when i say anger, it can be towards a person, certain circumstances or situations, yourself, etc. etc. the fact that you are a rebel means that you seek some form of independence. perhaps you feel that you are trapped and you want to break free. this is emphasized by the fact that you plan to escape. however, in your dream, your escape plan fails. this means that you have been meaning to break free from your confinementin the waking-world but you are just not taking the risk.
your grandparents are with you and they symbolize love, security, wisdom, and protection. unfortunately, they don’t survive the “escape.” this means that what hinders you from seeking your independence is the fear of losing these things. it can be security and stability perhaps? you do not like taking risks, so although you are not happy with your current situation, you would still stick to it because of the security it offers you at present.
the enemy in your dream represents that you are in denial of something. this is connected to the situation that you find oppressive. the fact that you go undercover emphasizes that you are deluding yourself about something.
the plants suggests that that your personal growth is being stunted, and that is why you seek independence. the funeral procession suggests that there is something in your life that needs to be put to rest so you can focus on better things.
and last, the politician (does not matter if he’s alive or dead. to me, all politicians are dead anyway… or at least i want to see them dead hehe) is a symbol of having to make a decision. you have to decide or take a chance so that you could finally break free.
hoto, actually the first thing that came to my mind here was career. tell me if i’m wrong.
Three words: Wow. Dead-on.
(Feels like it anyway~)
