TGIF? Not so much.

Fridays are supposed to be the days you can finally slack it off and look forward to since it’s the end of the week. *sigh* I wish I could say the same for my Fridays…

While other people wait the whole day off to go around and anticipate a Friday Gimmick Night, I am not given the chance to do anything like that.

My normal Fridays at work is the most hectic day of the week for me. And why it is the way it is, it can be for one/and or many reasons.

  • There’s suddenly an important event/ meeting on Saturday or Sunday, so I have to set everything up seamlessly (which I fail at most of the time)
  • Same as 1, only it’s on Monday.
  • Rushing something for the boss that she would be needing within the day
  • And for something completely random– Anything out-of-the-blue-that-needs-rushing that always falls on a Friday.

How do you expect me to anticipate the end of the week, with the looming danger of Fridays unexpected surprises? It throws me off guard, even if I already dread with that sunken feeling of the amount of work.

No comments on time management please. I have enough sermons about the subject to last me a lifetime. Because how can you organize something ahead of time that suddenly pops out of nowhere– on the same date it is needed?

dundundundun.

#ahem#

So no invites on any meet-ups, dinners or dates on Fridays please. Especially Friday nights. With this weird affinity with Fridays that I have, it could throw off any anticipations we may have.

*sigh*

I know exactly what you mean. It’s so horrid, trying to rush and prepare everything in such short notice.
