Spielberg Talks Indy 4, Transformers & Tintin!

…In addition to Transformers and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the industrious director talked about Tintin, a project he’s working on with Peter Jackson, based on the popular graphic novels by Belgian artist HergĂ©. He said that as of now there are only two directors with Jackson directing the first installment, himself directing the second movie, and if they don’t hire another director, the two would co-direct the third. Jackson will shoot his movie in New Zealand and Spielberg will shoot in the States, and Spielberg said the two are very collaborative and that the film will be using motion-capture, which is still new to him.

Tintin, people! Tintin! My childhood idol! He’s going to come alive as a trilogy in 3D animation done using motion capture! (Because, really now, I can’t think of any actors who can bring the characters respectfully– and I think it’s also an issue with the Moulinsart, HergĂ© Foundation, who owns the rights). Tintin!!!

First look: Magical beings breathe life into ‘Spiderwick Chronicles’

Creature chaos is unleashed with scary and humorous results when Jared, the more aggressive and adventurous twin, discovers a field guide to fairies, a book coveted by a 10-foot shape-shifting ogre, Mulgarath (Nick Nolte).

Phil Tippett (Jurassic Park, Star Wars), with an assist from Industrial Light & Magic, supervised the 500 or so digital shots of the magical beings.

Because each volume is only 100 pages or so and “is meant to be quickly devoured by a 10-year-old,” Waters says, the decision was made to compile all the stories into what he calls “one kick-butt amalgamation.”

Oooh~ Spiderwick movie! Yey! I do hope they make a good port from book to movie. And so far from the pictures from USA Today, graphics will be good.

If anyone is looking for any copies for The Discworld Companion in paperback, I think I bought the remaining copy from Fully Booked Greenhills. Please don’t hate me for being lucky, I simply had to get it knowing it could be the only one left (as I’ve browsed all floors of the branch and got only one AND no sign of any copies of the book at the other 2 branches).

Don’t worry, they may get more copies smiley

And off-topic– Fully Booked Powerplant has almost all the Tintin comic magazines!!!! *squee* Now I promise my self I will collect them next AFTER the Discworld series. Oh I will. Just you wait.

Now I must end this bragging entry.

[insert a much higher-pitched scream]

=inhales, exhales, inhales, exhales=

Before I suddenly go rampaging on the small sort-of ordered world we live in, would just like to point out that there are two new skins for the blog. One new default one whose layout is same as my personal site’s, and a new Tintin layout that replaced the former one. And frankly, I like the new Tintin layout better.

Thanks for your point of views on the matter in question. I have always been ‘trying’ to look at the brighter side of things, and I finally got that subject out of my system.

Moving on…

=insert blood-curling scream=

Hah!

This is stupid! I’ve been trying to work myself off, and yet we can never truly underestimate the power of circumstances.

Accidents just seem to happen now don’t they? >.<

And of all things, it has to happen for my Humanities 2 report!!!

the incident Papo, one of my groupmates can’t send the pictures needed for the making of the presentation, why? His computer crashed on him. Day of all days

Of course, I’m sorry for him, I’m just mad at the situation happening at a time like this (our report is due on Tuesday, and I can’t start the presentation without those pix). I will then have to do the outline of his on my own. Bahala na lang talaga.

…and now, one more thing to worry:
The bishounen thing…
More info on that later… before they kill me…

=inhales, exhales, inhales, exhales…=

=calms down=

Now I feel much better. Thanks, people.. and sorry bout that.
