My impacted wisdom tooth has finally been extracted! Yay!
Double yay that I can’t feel a thing, the anaesthesia might still be working which is a good thing. But then again, I’ve been prescribed with really strong pain killers…
So yeah, the worst is over. I have 3 more wisdom teeth to go, but we’re not in a hurry any more. But they still have to be extracted, but now I have more time to save money for it.
It went faster than I expected it would. Which is good, because when it took longer, I will have enough time to panic and worry. Which, as you guessed it, isn’t always good. I brought Midori with me just so I don’t hear the drill, forgetting the fact that the noise will be from inside my mouth and not outside my body.
But hey it helped. And since I forgot that it was on shuffle mode and it had the sister’s playlist, it produced pretty interesting results.
So I present to you my Tooth Mix1 a.k.a. the Wisdom Tooth extraction soundtrack! Also known as the songs that randomly played while the whole operation took place.

You can listen to the mix from here. And I highly recommend you do listen while you imagine what happened while they played.
- Richard Marx and Donna Lewis – At the Beginning [Anastasia Ending Theme]
This played one of the assistant dentists was injecting me with anaesthesia . Timely much? I have no idea. - Mirai – Open Up Your Mind [Gensoumaden Saiyuuki OST]
This was when everything was about to start and the dental surgeon (what is the right term?) was preparing to drill my tooth. And yes, my mouth really, really wide open. - Utada Hikaru – Passion [Kingdom Hearts 2 OST]
The foreboding music while the surgeon drilled the tooth to half. And Hikki doing her voice mixes… set the mood. It was also this time that they had to re-inject anaesthesia at some place in my tooth. I felt a sudden surge of pain while they were drilling. - Ralph Fiennes and Amick Byram – The Plagues [Prince of Egypt OST]
Epic music is EPIC. My tooth is already being pulled my tooth out by the music came in. By this time, I knew I had to blog how 4 songs in a row can be so timely at each moment. How can a simple iPod shuffle know?! It’s on shuffle!!! - Take That – Rule the World
I was silent while the song played while the surgeon sewed the gap on my gum to close it. It’s as if the boys are telling me that I can basically rule the world now that I am done with my prolonged ordeal. Which I probably can now.2
I can’t make this up even if I wanted to. I didn’t plan on blogging about the surgery and will only update you with “Done. Moving on.” But no, Midori had to try and help. I don’t know if I should be thankful or not. Maybe I should be thankful, as it really helped me survive the operation without flailing arms and tears.
So there goes my experience when rendered as a musical. The only applause I got is my dad’s standing ovation that it was all done — which means I did good. At least I think so anyway.
