And So…

…It Ends

The month is ending, and my days of relaxation are soon over. Once the 24th hour of the day strikes, I will be busy as I can be as a bee.

…It Begins

Aside for the NaNoWriMo participation, I will be working in shifts for work and more work. And all this will be set aside for the MacBook and tooth fund. So, yes, if ever you get in touch with me, it’s either you’re lucky catching me on a ‘free’ time; or I’m procrastinating.

What now?

Sleepless nights lay ahead.

Simple Things

I haven’t been my self lately, with all the thoughts and emotions I have been going through. smiley I think I really need that vacation now. Nevertheless, I am moving on and standing tall. And feeling better one day at a time.

And with the help of my own personal therapy: gear shopping.

I’ve been looking for either a laptop cooler or a laptop riser, but I couldn’t find one within my budget range. P1,500 for a riser is a bit pricey for me.

AiData E-Z Laptop Riser Until yesterday. I was waiting for my ID pictures to be developed so I looked around the computer shops, and I finally found what I was looking for: AiData E-Z Laptop Riser.

It has a set of nice features that I have been looking for:

  • It folds flat for travel
  • It has a non-skid platform & base
  • It has heat-dissipating indentations
  • And it is made of a sturdy material (which is a must, especially for clumsy me)

And most important of all, it’s inexpensive. P395? Definitely, a steal.

Now I don’t have to break my back bending while working on the laptop.

It’s weird that a simple gadget like this can cheer me up. (And make me post about it too.) smiley

Windows in a window

I am now running Windows XP in a window on Mac OSX via Parallels. smiley

The need to test websites on IE6 brought about this need. If it weren’t for a fact that not everyone has upgraded to IE7 yet, I wouldn’t do this. But the web designer in me needed to the stylesheets are fail-safe or to see if certain attributes still work.

But I must admit, this is pretty snazzy. I can simply drag my files directly onto the Windows desktop with no hassles. And it’s pretty amusing seeing Windows in a window. Literally.
