We finally have our own P&S camera.

And it is a good day.

I haven’t been my self lately, with all the thoughts and emotions I have been going through. smiley I think I really need that vacation now. Nevertheless, I am moving on and standing tall. And feeling better one day at a time.

And with the help of my own personal therapy: gear shopping.

I’ve been looking for either a laptop cooler or a laptop riser, but I couldn’t find one within my budget range. P1,500 for a riser is a bit pricey for me.

AiData E-Z Laptop Riser Until yesterday. I was waiting for my ID pictures to be developed so I looked around the computer shops, and I finally found what I was looking for: AiData E-Z Laptop Riser.

It has a set of nice features that I have been looking for:

  • It folds flat for travel
  • It has a non-skid platform & base
  • It has heat-dissipating indentations
  • And it is made of a sturdy material (which is a must, especially for clumsy me)

And most important of all, it’s inexpensive. P395? Definitely, a steal.

Now I don’t have to break my back bending while working on the laptop.

It’s weird that a simple gadget like this can cheer me up. (And make me post about it too.) smiley

It’s official, I have GAS.

smiley

GAS is Gear Acquisition Syndrome, said to be generally acquired by guitar owners/ players, but can also be anyone else’s dysfunction of choice.

… [It] is a common disease found particularly among, but not limited to, guitar players. A loose definition of GAS would be the obsessive and irrational horse trading or purchasing of musical related equipment.

smiley Thank you, Alex, for that wonderful term smiley

I already have a functioning laptop bag and a laptop sleeve for my Macbook. And I already have a pen tablet to assist me in controlling the mouse pointer when I find the track pad tricky. But why, oh why do I still want more?

Trying to justify some things lead me to 2 simple kinds of answers…
