Due to the prodding and contagious enthusiasm of the beloved, I pimp to you (is that even a verb?) Densha Otoko.

Densha Otoko is J-Drama based on a true story that happened in a Japanese online BBS. It’s about an otaku who fell in love with a beautiful girl. And since he doesn’t know how to go about courting the girl, he asks advise from a single’s thread in an online messageboard. And the story, and the hysteria, begins.
Just for info, Japanese otakus are what we call, super anime nerds– i mean, exceptional anime enthusiasts. And stereotypically, they are, looked-down upon by the main society. So just imagine the other things the guy has to consider in courting this high-class lady.
I’ve watched this through the end. It’s hilarious, it’s endearing and it made cry a bit a few times (owing to the fact that I am a bit on the sensitive side). And I could almost relate to everyone in the story. And yes, AME, you too!
Forgive the all caps when I say YOU MUST WATCH! I really don’t pimp shows unless I truly believe in them
