My Choice of Hell

Names of people and forum have been changed to protect the writer from more hate mail. And also to protect the other party from their own idiocy

I haven’t always been harsh. Go ask the people I know. Yes, I have my own foot-in-mouth moments, but they are meant in good humor. But ever since I joined the network forums and being a moderator, I’ve somehow manage to unleash the devil inside me. Could it be the power? The ability to control people’s minds?

No, it’s simply my own choice of hell. The stress and the agony of actually going through every single thread and post to pick out the misplaced topics, off-topic discussions and defamatory (did I spell that right?) posts of the artists and network, and possible flamebaits is a tough job. But I took it. Yes, it’s my hell.

From this hell I learned that sadism is actually a stress reliever, only of course if you know you’re doing your job and enforcing the rules. And from doing so, people have actually took 3 sides. 1 side actually likes what I’m doing. The 2nd hates me for enforcing the rules. The 3rd doesn’t care and just keeps posting, following the rules or not.

The whole thing is amusing really. People knowing that they’re not following the rules, yet mad at the person enforcing them. How so~ true of human nature.

So now, I share with you quotes from the forums that have totally amused me. Pardon the language (both foreign and foul) for I am too amused to actually translate them right now ^^;

Hnm… How sweet of him/her. But still I have to lock the thread since it is highly irrelevant from the forums. Besides, I am no star.

This was after I reset the number of the official threads because most of the posters didn’t follow the rules and guidelines, and locked the previous one since it reached page quota.

Oh dear! Harsh! Very harsh! How can you say that? And in ALL CAPS! I only do my job in enforcing the rules, which apparently you don’t read or follow. And calling the office to complain about the whole thing? You know the rules as well as I do, you you, person you. I’m very upset to you as well!

There it goes. Up until now am still there. Why? I don’t know. Everyone has their own hell. I guess, this is mine. But hey, it’s amusing, so I guess it’s my own “tolerable” hell.
