More Than Meets The Eye

Watched Transformers last night with The Beloved. And I had absolute fun!
All I can say that will sum up the movie is: FUN!!!!
The cinema tickets were worth it. Sure there could be shortcomings, but you won’t notice it that much because you were enjoying the experience. The director took the more entertaining route and didn’t dwell too much on the “serious” side. You don’t have to be a fan to enjoy and understand the movie, but being one will be a plus in noticing the subtle details in the movie.
The movie is eye-candy. The amount of detail given to the Autobots and Decepticons is awe-worthy. I couldn’t stop staring when they move around and transform.

Regarding casting, Shia as Sam is so hard to take seriously, especially when he’s given lines that are so comical, which I think seems to be in-character (And does watching him in Even Stevens make me jaded?). I think he’s perfect for that role though, the underdog who redeems him self in the end (Was that a spoiler?). And dare I say, Megan Fox is hot?

It’s also a Bumblebee-centric movie, with more screen time than the other main characters, and the Prime himself. Which isn’t a bad thing as he’s cool in the movie. And cute. If he were a plushie, I might’ve have squished him to death. (Darnit, robots = cute?
)

Is it obvious enough that I enjoyed the movie?
But don’t take my word for it, watch it for yourselves. It would also be good if you don’t expect too much if you’re a Transformers fan, as all fans of originals should. Enjoy it for what it is, and you will walk out of the cinema smiling.
*feels like a kid again*
