Heroes are not born, they are built

Watched Iron Man last night with the Beloved and dayum! No words can explain how completely floored I am by it. In my limited vocabulary, all I could keep saying around people is that “no words can fully express how the movie is completely made of win and all kinds of awesome!”
For lack of a better description, I walked away out of the theatre feeling so cheerful and awesome.
I am not really familiar of the Iron Man mythos. I only know about the character because of the Beloved, who kept lending me copies of his comic books, and from short references from the animated TV series from old. Though I am not a raving fan, the movie has created one in me. And a skipping and jumping one at that.
I somehow knew from the beginning that Robert Downey Jr was the perfect Tony Stark. Sorry, He IS Stark. Not once do you doubt him in the movie, confident and snarky. The rest of the cast isn’t that all bad either. And they are a perfect complement to Stark’s profile. One thing I also loved about the movie, are the realistic physics of the things happening– From the impact of the sonic boom to the high altitude problems one may encounter when flying. And of course, the endearing fire-dousing robot.
And oh! Stay for the end credits!
All in all, a great and awesome movie. Highly recommended! And yes, I’m still at a loss for words.
