Homecoming
It’s been so long.
Time and distance had kept us apart.
We lost contact. You changed numbers, I lost your numbers.
Work got in the way. I lost track.
If it weren’t for that Christmas Card, I would never have known you being far away was one of the reasons we couldn’t reach other.
But nevertheless, it seemed we didn’t lose each other after all.
Despite the time. Despite the distance.
Seeing you again was like a boost to my being.
As if we haven’t been apart for so long.
