For those who didn’t know, I send out personal Christmas Cards to anyone who wants to receive one free of charge! And these are not just simple e cards, they are actual tactile Christmas Cards, since not everyone receives them any more. I put a little something each time so it feels special. And since they have to be mailed out, I have to be strict with my schedule this time so the cards arrive safely and not get lost due to the Christmas rush.1
This year, I’m starting as early as this September to ask anyone who wants one.
Q&A
- How do I get one?
- Fill in the form! See? Am making this easy for you now
- When’s the deadline?
- The deadline for sending me your details is on October 31st, 2008.
- I’ve already sent you my details before, do I still need to contact you about that?
- Yes, in fact you do. This is to make sure that people who wants to receive gets a card, and those who don’t want to receive doesn’t get one. The request form has a select box to state if this is your first time requesting, want to update your mailing address, or you just want to confirm that you still want to be sent a card or not. If you’re already in my records and odn’t fill in the form, I’ll automatically default that you still want cards

- I’m not from the same locality/ country you are. Do I still count?
- Of course you do! Foreign addresses may apply, as long as you’re in the some planet I’m in. I heard interplanetary couriers are a killer, and I’m just a humble web designer.2
- Can I add a special request for the card you will send me?
- I’m still finalising the design of the card so I’m still open to special requests. Will update you on that.
- It’s free? What’s the catch? Why are you doing this?
- Does peace and good will for everyone and the warmness it brings to my heart count? Can’t anyone do a personal project for free any more? *sigh* Consider this as my way of sharing my thanks and warmest greetings and wishes to anyone who is willing to receive it.
- Why not just send cards to people you know? Why are you even asking?
- It’s already hard enough when people doubt your intent, so it is best to send the handmade cards to those who welcome it and actually want one.
For any more questions, feel free to ask them in the comments area.
