Catching Up

It’s been 2 months? Already? By golly!
I have been extremely busy with work. And if that isn’t much of an excuse, it’s more of stress coming from a single client and encountering a lot of problems.1
A lot of project implementations, and client support as well. Makes me think I should’ve at least trained in customer support without the hassle of graveyard shifts.
Naaah.
Thank goodness for stuff that have kept me sane this whole entire time.
Pink’d, and proud of it.
One of them, Pinkys. My hiatus from playing with them has finally ended, and cute little girls roam free atop our bedside cabinet. And the fact that it’s easier to borrow a digital camera now *coughAkucough* has made it all the more easier to update the obssessions blog. Now to actually find time sorting through the pictures to post them…

Wanton violence as a stress reliever
Another are games. Knights of the Old Republic is a first choice, due to the high chance of shooting droids and slashing evil doers. I’m playing the path of the Light side, but am planning to go dark on second play through. But since the Mac version of the game only works in Power PC Macs (*pout*), I play the PC version at the Beloved’s house every weekend whenever we’re both free.
If he’s busy working on his hi-tech computer, I’d play God of War on his PSP. Yes, taking out creatures sent by Greek gods is an excellent stress reliever.
And whenever I get to it (especially during those long travel hours on the way home) I take out my DS and play games.
And I am guilty of getting a second unit, this one a DS Lite. I got one for myself along with Alex and his dearest Risha2.

So yes, I now have two Nintendo DS units. The pink one I now gave to my sister, and so we can duke it out with wifi games. Ha! (And yes, we named them too.)
Comfort food
And when I am alone, and without access to my Pinky:St dolls or if I left the DS at home, and I really really need to relieve stress, I’d go to the nearest mall and eat to my heart’s content. It doesn’t help that I can actually eat better now and I am getting used to my bite splint. The weight I lost pre-operation has returned with a vengeance. Komoro Soba is a lunch favourite, with inexpensive but still very yummy Japanese food. Also Jamaican patties: ultimate comfort food.
Rest and relaxation
And of course, sleep! A luxury nowadays that I abuse whenever I can slip a few moments of rest. And there’s the possibility of a weekend retreat somewhere soon, which I am looking forward to. A much needed time away from work and burnout that I am in danger of.
And now that time has become more manageable, I can now focus on driving lessons that start next week and a couple more projects (that really has to be done soon!) Most probably blog more often. And hopefully do more things that I really want to do.
- Seriously, one full week of overtime work and stress? Thank goodness I get paid for that now. ↩
- And I take all responsibility on whatever evil has befallen on the couple and their addiction. But I can’t take all the credit of course. The Beloved was part of the reason too. ↩
